Lego Night

In Inverness, at Chic Fil A, every Tuesday night is kids night and they have a kid activity. Also, you get a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult meal! Who doesnt love that?! I am a fan of theirs on fb and when I saw that they were having Lego Night, I knew my little man would have a fit! We also actually had a dr appt in bham on that day as well so it worked out well! They had a lot of cool different things made from Legos for show. The actual activity though, was little lego men pieces seperated in different bowls and the kids had to build as many men as they could within 2 minutes. I am sure it was a lot more difficult than it looked because they had to have a head, bottom, top, hat, and something in their hands . Sweet Caden tried so hard, but he only got two made during one session. He tried three times and got to keep one man each time! We also got some extra time with our TaTa and family!

Toomer's Corner

If you are an Auburn fan, then you already know about Toomer's Corner. If you are not an Auburn fan, well first of all, I am so sorry! Here is a little background on Toomer's Corner.

Toomer’s Corner, the historic place where the Auburn University campus meets the city of Auburn, has long been the gathering place for Auburn athletic celebrations. After significant victories in sports, Auburn students and citizens alike join forces to “roll” the trees (and anything else that doesn’t move, and sometimes things that do) at Toomer’s Corner with toilet tissue. Celebrations can go on for hours and leave the heart of town looking as though a blizzard passed through. The exact date of when the tradition began is not known. However, some locals believe it was probably in 1962 or 1963, and it must be experienced to be believed.

As everyone knows, Auburn won the National Championship this year!! We were not at the game, therefore we went with a few friends to Auburn the next day to let the kids experience rolling Toomer's Corner after our team won the national championship. It was freezing cold and we were all bundled up! The entire town beamed with excitement! After letting the kids roll a little, we went to get our newest and best yet t-shirts! Last, we had Five Guys Burgers and Fries then headed home on our 2 hour drive from the plains. I hope next year we are in a better position to go to more games than we were this year, because we love those Auburn Tigers!

Monster Jam

I have always wanted to take Caden to the Monster Jam. You know, to see all the Monster trucks!! Well after hearing that they were coming, I had to make it happen this year! We were going with some friends, but didn't tell the kids until we got there. They were very excited when they realized what they were about to see! They were peeking in the doors of the BJCC and saw all of the merchandise, when they figured out the surprise! It was a great show, actually my first as well. We made sure to take the ear plugs and the fumes ended up not being too bad from our seats. Of course everyone's favorite is usually Gravedigger, however, he was actually beat in a race by Maximum Destruction. Gravedigger did end up winning the overall though, because of his freestyle show! All of the trucks were very interesting, They had names like Reptoid, Bad News Travels Fast, Intrepid, and Ninja Turtle just to name a few. One of the trucks actually flipped over. We were glad to know that he was ok and had minor damages to his truck. The drivers seemed very nice during the times that they were able to speak to the crowd.
Right After the boys figured out where we were!

Most of the trucks did this

This was the truck that beat Gravedigger in the race.
Showed Caden that Gravedigger might be the coolest,
however he wasn't the fastest today!

Most famous, Gravedigger

They had a great motorcross show as well.
My cousin David used to race motorcross, It was awesome!

Me and my best man!

The truck that flipped over, glad he was ok!

Gravedigger's winning number!

Caden was so pumped after the show that when we were in Target, he searched the toy Monster trucks for one of the trucks that were at the show. With no luck we then tried Wal Mart and had to settle for the Superman truck. He has mentioned having a Monster Truck birthday party this year. We shall see if he still wants that to be the theme later in the year.  If you ever have the chance to take your littles to a Monster Jam, I suggest you do! It was a great experience and we made wonderful memories!

New Years 2010

This year for New Years, we decided to keep it low key and just hang out with friends. We had hot dogs and chili and played Just Dance 2. After a while we went out to roast marshmellows and watch fireworks. It was the earliest New Years Eve I'd ever had. But we had a great time!

Christmas 2010

I am trying to fit most of our Christmas activities in to one post, sadly many are getting left out!!Christmas was very busy for us this year! But I wouldnt have changed it for a thing, we are so very blessed with lots of family! As everyone already knows, it snowed on Christmas this year! It was amazing to look out the window during our Christmas dinner(s) and watch the pretty snow fall. The kids do not realize how lucky they are to have experienced that this year! Let me start by showing you the gorgeous Christmas pictures of my babies this year! No, they aren't brother and sister, but I like to act like they are!!

Our elf, Jingle

This past Christmas was our first year to have the "Elf on a Shelf". He isnt really the one that is supposed to be michevious. That would be the "Magic Elf". However, our Jingle was a silly little elf! Santa sent Jingle to watch over Caden in the weeks before Christmas. He came with a book that told us all about him. It told us to give him a name and that he would be flying back to the North Pole with Santa on Christmas Eve. We also had strict instructions to never touch him. We woke up everyday to find him in a new spot and in the middle of an activity. Caden loved Jingle, and it may be asking a little much but I reallly hope we can enjoy at least one more year of believing in our elf! His faces every morning were PRICELESS!!

When we discovered Jingle

Found Jingle playing Candyland with
Batman, Ironman, and Darth Vader

Found Jingle upside down in
Caden's stocking

Had a late night of watching Christmas movies
and eating popcorn with his buds

in my Santa boots

Left Caden a Christmas message
 on the mirror with lipsick

Reading Caden's Devotion

Found him behind the wheel of my car

He had been out on a joyride
and parked crooked!

If you dont have an elf at your house at Christmas, please try to get one this year!!
In this one year weve had Jingle, weve already created a lot of wonderful memories!!
