How much fatter?

The funniest thing happened on our way home today! Caden was eating Ritz crackers and reading the label. He then said, "Mom, Ill be 7% fatter after I eat this!" I thought it was funny, then he said, "But if I eat it on a Saturday (sat) Ill only be 5% fatter!" I DIED! (He thought that the percentage of fat meant how much fatter he would be!!! And after that, he thought saturated meant Saturday)

Edwards Wedding

I love a good wedding! And this one surely was just that! Aside from Jessica being one of the most beautiful brides ever, these two love each other so much that it is just contagious! Jessica and Hunter have been together since high school, so this was a day that been a long time coming. Everything was beautiful and perfect. A wedding every little girl would hope for. I even share some of her ideas for a wedding someday! One of my favortie parts of a wedding is getting to see everyone that you haven't in awhile. It is so much fun catching up with friends!

Julie and David

I had to keep these two seperated all night because their shirts were just too close! Once I almost grabbed David's arm thinking it was Shane's!! opps!

Look how gorgeous and happy they were!!

We love a photo booth!

Julie and Me again!

Me and Jenna!

I fell in love with this drink, which is apparently an Alabama fan drink??!! I would go to the Bama games just for this drink! ha! Just hope it doesn't turn you into a Bama fan!!

Our first Gameday

We went over to my dad's to watch the Alabama and Auburn games before lunch, but when Shane picked me up, look what he had for me!!

Flowers in Auburn colors! Sweet man!

My aunts and uncles were in town from Georgia, so they were all able to meet Shane and fall in love with him!:) Alabama and Auburn both won, although it was a close call for the Tigers. I am prepared to not be cocky this year! I told Shane that I had a good plan for which team gets to rock the front door each year. Whichever team won the Iron Bowl the previous year wins the front door! That means this year it should have orange and blue, and probably next year would be the crimson and houndstooth! Good plan, huh?! He isnt hooked yet, but I am trying! Hope you all had a great first gameday!

GA's Christmas in August

I have been helping a little with our GA's group at church on Wednesday evenings. The theme last month was Christmas in August and they were sending small gifts to the missionaries that they learn about. The week before we were suppose to have them their Christmas Party, we came up with an idea that was completely thrown together, but turned out so wonderful! We had them put a memo in the Sunday bulletin inviting the church  to come for Cmas cookies after the Wednesday night prayer service. We also asked them to bring any donations from a list of things that the missionaries needed. My friend, April and I decorated a little room on Tuesday with what little Cmas decor we could find right now. The girls dipped premade cookies in chocolate and decorated them with sprinkles. As the church came in the girls thanked them for coming and placed all of the donations in a box beside the Christmas tree. They were precious!

I am not going to lie, I got teary eyed watching this!

We reminded the girls that they were "doing work in the church", just as they say in their pledge every week!

The girls saying "thank you!"

Love these girls!

Thankful Thursday

As I was laying in Caden's bed yesterday morning, snuggling with him before waking him up, I was just thinking about how different my life is from last year at this time. I have posted about this before, so I dont feel the need to go in to details. I was just amazed at how things have turned around so quickly, and are better than I could have ever imagined. Through everything that was happening in my life, I had a peace about it that some may think is very strange. I knew that there was no use in crawling in my bed and crying until things got better, even though that is exactly what I wanted to do. I filled my time with Caden and his activities, church, and my friends. I knew that God had bigger plans for us, and that they had to be just around the corner. That is where that peace came from, my faith. All I could think about yesterday morning was, "Who would have thought at the beginning of this year that I would have someone like Shane. Someone that we are so comfortable with and loves us for who we are." We are all three happier than we have ever been, and all it took was a little lot of patience. I am so excited about what else is in store for us! This chapter in our lives is just getting started! Thank you to everyone that stood by Caden and I when things weren't so great! Thank you Jesus, for loving us unconditionally and holding us when we were to weak to stand on our own!

Haigan Jane

I love this baby girl! She is my friend, Kiki's little girl. She sure can light up a room anytime she is around with her big blue eyes (like her Mama), little blonde curls, and the cutest little smile. I can never get enough of her! I always get more than my share of hugs and kisses when I am with her, I probably squeeze her to death. Haigan loves her mama and stays right up under her, unless her daddy is around and then she shows you the true meaning of being a Daddy's girl. Being with this precious girl only makes my desire for a "mini me" even stronger! I like to make people think she is mine when were all out together! haha! We celebrated Haigan's 2nd birthday last weekend at their house with her closest family and friends.

With her mama!
