Honeymoon Day 3

On Monday, we had breakfast at 7 AM and left the resort for what we didnt know would be a 2 hour communte to Xplor. We were told to take towels, swim suits, and shoes that wouldnt fall off.

You can tell we just woke up!

These are all of the activities we enjoyed for the day. We took a waterproof disposable camera, but we didnt see a flash on it so we are really hoping that they turn out! These photos are off of the Xplor website and are obviosly not us!
ZIPLINING
Those are gators down there!

It was both of our first time to do any of these activities. Zipling was so cool and by far our fave! I wasnt nervous until it was time to go then I could not stop laughing! Please go zipline ASAP! Dont be scared!

CAVE RAFTING

The cave rafting was cool, the only thing was that a lot of the rafts got jammed up together and I started then, feeling a little closed in with so many people and no where to move. They should probably space the people out a little more to make it more enjoyable.

CAVE SWIMMING

This was probably my second favorite. We swam for about 30 minutes throught the caves. There were no creatures swimming with us, other than a few little fishies! I was sure to ask. I however didnt care for the bats in there with us! They probably could say the same about us!

Amphibious Vehicles (ATVs)

These were really cool, Shane drove and I endured my heavy bladder on the very bumpy ride! I really enjoyed it though, we drove through caves and water.

We stayed at Xplor all day until about 5 pm. We spent all day in our swimsuits and no shoes. My monthly pedicured feet shockingly handled themselves pretty well. I  hate being barefoot, even inside, so I couldnt believe I was ok with that! I kept leaving my sweet man behind a little. His feet were killing him on the rough grounds. I joked that it would be the same way when I was 60 and he was 80! HA! We dont really have a 20 year difference, just 12!:)

After our long, cold drive back, we got ready for dinner.

We chose Spice, a Chinese restuarant. Those lights behind us were changing different colors.

They by far, had the best sushi I have ever eaten. And the food was the best I have had here!! Sooo good!!

After dinner, we lounged out and watched a little bit of this show.

We are keeping our fingers crossed for no rain today!:) I need to have more beach and pool time! Not to mention, I have not been able to do anything with my hair at night!

Honeymoon Day 2

We heard thunder about 4 am this morning, but luckily when we woke up, it wasnt raining. We headed straight for the breakfast buffet that we heard was so fab. But not before asking the "no ingles speaking" housekeeper to snap our photo, bless her heart!

This is the view of our room

And this is from the room to the pool.

Check out these cool chairs that I had to have a pic of. The backs were so tall!
Maybe I am the only one amused, sorry!

Our breakfast was so good, it was a full buffett "Chef Mickey" Style but no characters! I am pretty sure we will eat there a few more days this week, beginning in the morning!

We spent the rest of our morning around this area.
They had the most hilarious male swim excercise instructor. He called all of us ladies out for a good "stretching and workout" We also met a sweet couple and hung out for a while with them.

We all went down to the beach area for the Rock and Roll cookout. We had burgers, well I had a few bites because I was still so full from breakfast and more than a few Mango Tangos.

Have you ever heard a Mexican band that sang Elvis, Kings of Leon, and Sublime? We have. And they were really good!!

See that? We thought it would be cool to try it out. Especially, since it was included. Name on the list, check.

Out for the lessons we went, back from the lessons we came. Out by ourselves we went, turning around....ummmm we could not turn around!!!! Ha! I can only laugh now. Between my panic building up inside of sitting in the MIDDLE  of the ocean and my new husband getting aggravated with my panic-ed face and questions, I was not having so much fun anymore. We just knew that eventually one of the instructors would come and get us turned around, and they did. Whew! Cheese! "I love you Sugar Plum"...."Oh, dont smile and "Sugar Plum" me now!"

We spent a little time here relaxing and taking a few "not so flattering" photos!

Wellllll, looky what we have now! A new little towel creation!
So sweet!:)

Getting ready to go out, and the room service knocks and delivers these, just because!
While it was a sweet gesture, they were yuck!

We skyped with Caden, Palyn, Logan, and Tata a couple of times today. They were very excited to hear us and how much fun weve been having!

The rain was coming down on our way to dinner, but we still enjoyed a wonderful covered, outdoor dinner.

A little elevator fun before calling it a night!:)

Tomorrow is ziplining and swimming through caves! Ekkkkkkkk!!

Honeymoon Day 1

We woke up about 2:45 AM on Sat morning to make a 2 hour drive to ATL airport and then boarded the plane around 9:20.

We have been so excited about this honeymoon and as you can tell by my face, we were ecstatic to finally be taking off!

Had to take a cloud photo for Caden!
When I left him with my sister on Friday, he asked where I was going. I told him Mexico, he said, "really? Well bring me back a lei or somethin!" Ha! Maybe a poncho, but not a lei!

Last Sunday, in church, a family got up and gave testimonies about their recent trip to Mexico. I was of course crying by the end of their video of them plus a few others, building a house in a week for a Mexican family. In the mom's testimony, she mentioned how she was thankful for our paved roads and grass in America. In Mexico, only the main roads are paved. Looking down from the plane, I was seeing exactly what she meant.
After landing and making it through the "much less of a hassle than USA " baggage claims, we were greeted by this nice man. He escorted us to our driver.

(Dont get me wrong, Im totally thankful for the detailed checks America makes
you go through at the airports)

Before getting into the car, we were given these warm, wet towels and a bottle of water for the 30 min commute to the resort. En route to La Playa Mujeres we were.
Upon arrival, our name was not found on any list to enter the resort. After we were greeted with a "Welcome home" and champagne at the door, we made our way over to the front desk where they could also not find our name. Thank goodness, Shane had our reservation forms with us and showed the nice gentleman. To which he responded, "Ohhhh, you're EXCELLENCE CLUB!!" That is why our name was not on the list. I asked what the meant, and he told me it was like a VIP. "Oh, well yes, I will take a VIP any day!" Thank you Sugar Plum Hunny Bunny for making sure that we had the honeymoon upgraded package! We had to make our around checking out everything until our amenities were available.
Apperently, it is no big deal if one of these guys jump out in front of you on the walkways! They still freak me out. Like, I could just see one jumping up onto my ankle. I would totally be THAT tourist girl then!
Our first stop was the Lobster House, and Love Bug checked out just what all of those extra amenities were!
What a nice Honymoon banner we were greeted with! Now for the annoying room pics!
(Hey, I didn't post them all...you know what a jacuzzi tub looks like!)

All of the snacks in the room that are normally an extra charge at other places...Yep those are included here. Just take what you want and they will replace it. NO charges.
Going out to eat. The camera fogs up when out of the room because of the temp change.
Shane tried ordering a fruity margarita, and the waiter looked at him and said "nah, Ill bring you something special." He liked it, it was some sort of sour apple but with spices in the glass.
We chose a Mexican restuarant for our first night. Just felt appropriate!

This is an all inclusive resort, so all meals, snacks, and drinks..yes alllll drinks...are included. In America, we are so used to huge protions that we would feel incredibly sick after consuming a full course meal. We laughed at the portions here because they are so small, but in all honesty, they are just right and all we need. Check them out..

Sir, your choice of drinks are a little girly!

The entrance of the restuarant had a lot of these candles that just melted down and the wax stayed and they added more candles. I thought they were cool.

We spent a little more time out and found the beach. And then it was time to call it a night!
Good Night from Playa Mujeres! ;)

(Many may be wondering why I am blogging from the honeymoon. I will have a better memory of what happened each day if I do it now, rather than when we return. It is kind of relaxing too! Right now it is raining so there is nothing else going on either!)
