Hollywood Studios 1

Our Monday at Disney didn't start out so well. My mom and I had a little spat because she was thinking I was being too hard on Caden. That is all grandparents, right? I do agree with her to a point, which is why I got so upset. However, she is not with him everyday. When I get mad/upset, the best thing for that person to do is to not say anything else to me until I am ok again. I have really bad word vomit when I am upset, but if I am left alone, I can cool off and think about the situation. Before long, I am fine again. Now don't get the wrong idea and think I go crazy and hit people or use awful language or anything, my problem is more of my attitude with the words I use. Why am I telling you all of this? Because I am honest on my blog, and do not want my readers to think I am pretending my life is always smiles and giggles and perfect in every way. My attitude when I am upset, along with my patience with Caden's behavior are the two things that I struggle with and all I can do is pray about them. You can say a prayer for me too if you don't mind!

When asking about Hollywood Studios, I was told that upon entering, Shane must run to the right and grab a fast pass for Toy Story Mania while I run with Caden to sign him up for Jedi training. (Caden had to be present with me while I signed him up) This was great advice, and if we were there any other time of the year, I would have done exactly that. However, we were there during a perfect time where we could pretty much walk on every ride with little wait. (Sept. 10-17, in case you were wondering) So we went over to sign up Caden for Jedi training, and then rode Star Tours. I think that this was one of his favorite rides, although he was a little scared at first. It was 3d and very fun! Here is the rest of our day....

Toy Story Soldier

I tried to get him to look like he was scared of the claw!

We caught the end of the parade, but was sure to catch the entire thing on Thursday.

We watched the Little Mermaid and
The Beauty and the Beast

Caden napped during this show

This was cute!

We had lunch at the 50's Primetime Cafe

It was set up so cute, just like a house from the 50's.
All of the servers were in character, although ours (not above) wasn't fun at all. I was sad to hear such fun stories from others experiences when ours was just boring and to the point. oh well!

This is a table like the one we ate at, cute!

Yes, those are random people that I took a picture of!!
We played at the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" playground

Shane and I wore our "Just Engaged" pins!

Hello, I am NOT trying to pose like a Baywatch Babe!

We headed out early on this night, knowing that we another day to finish up the things we didnt get to do.

Wedding Wednesday: Our Venue

Sorry about those kids, I kinda took these pics right off the Elms albums!

Its my first Wedding Wednesday post! Let me begin by telling you that I am not a high maintenance girl, no matter what you may think. All of my clothes, jewelry, Caden's clothes, household decor, and even party decor come on sale/clearance or  TJ Maxx/Ross. However, even though I will not be going all out and spending tons, I LOVE WEDDINGS and I have always dreamed of my own. My friends will tell you that they are probably so glad that this time has come for me, and will also be glad when it is gone so I will be over it! I love everything about them. They made my heart melt as a single girl and even more when I found my love. Now that you know how I fell about them, let me tell you about mine! Also, I obviously am no expert. I am going with the flow, and advice would be greatly appreciated. The first step I would say would be the venue. It would be very hard to book anything else without reserving the date with your venue first. I was so excited to check this off of my list. It made me feel like I could finally begin with everything else! June 16, 2012 became our day! Let me back up a little and tell you how this pretty place in little Coosada, AL became the place that we will share our vows in front of God, and our closest family and friends.

When Shane and I began talking about spending forever together, I immediately pictured our day taking place at Buena Vista, a beautiful place right beside Shane's neighborhood entrance. I thought it would be perfect to be so close to his house. When I looked it up online, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped to be. So I began doing a little browsing through around the area. (I love my church and the church I grew up in, I just knew I didnt want a church wedding. I really wanted outdoor with the option of a "plan b" indoor) I came across a few nice places and took note of the prices. When I found The Elms, I knew that is where I wanted to marry him. The prices were reasonable, however; it only includes the venue, no tables, chairs, tent, nothing else. I didnt care, Ill find all of those! As I checked the calender, I knew I had always thought a May wedding would be perfect. "What do you mean there is only two dates left in May, 2012?" After checking back the next week, and noticing only one date in May remained, it was obvious that this place was in high demand. After a while of thinking, we decided that June may be better. Caden would be out of school, one more month to plan, AND I could have my bachelorette getaway at the CMA Festival in Nashville! Heck yes! Sign us up for June please! Yes, it may be a little hotter, but there are plenty of moss trees to keep our guests shaded and it will begin at 6:00pm. I am so pleased with our decision. We are very excited!

We will have a different arch,
Im hoping for this one Ive seen on Pinterest

 PLEEEASE?!

Inside sunroom, where buffet would be

We will have a lit tent, isn't this so pretty?!

The Elms at night

Hope I didn't bore you with my first post!

Our Fairytale Proposal

I was determined to have a good seat for Wishes, so we got our seats a little early and Mom ran off for what felt like forever with Caden. I kept chatting with the people behind us, but Shane remained standing and looking around for Mom and Caden to come back. I kept telling him he could sit and they would call when they were looking for us, but he still stood looking around. Not long before the show began, they finally made it back with a Disney manager lingering behind. She introduced us and he commented on what great seats we had. He left and a few minutes later Mom decided to make us all get up and move toward the Rose Garden. As I was making my way through the concert like crowd, I was thinking she was crazy and how we should have stayed where we were! When we got over to the Rose Garden they told us to go up and take our picture in front of the castle. In the middle of taking pictures and the fireworks lighting up the sky, my sweet love got down on his knee and said, "Brittany, will you marry me?" I could not stop smiling and starring at what was in his hand.

My engagement ring in a glass slipper!

Leave it to me to be so ecstatic that I forget to say "yes!". I was so happy that I couldn't cry, I just wanted to jump up and down and scream! They announced the engagement to everyone standing around and they all applauded. We had the Disney photopass employee taking pictures us and I am so glad, because the camera's flash was not working too well. We are buying the photopass cd, so I will be able to share those later. We spent the rest of the night calling family and friends and just being excited!! Wouldn't you know my phone would be dead and I was going back and forth between Mom and Shane's phones to call everyone. I cannot believe that it all turned out so sweet and so perfect! I could not imagine a better story to tell grandchildren!

My mom made these signs that said,
"He asked" and "She said OMG!"
They were on Mickey ears!

This was the picture everyone kept asking for!!

Sweetest part yet...Caden asked Shane the next day if this meant that we will never break up. PRECIOUS.

I am so excited about planning this wedding! As I have seen on Blissfully Burton, I will begin a Wedding Wednesday weekly post to share the details of my exciting adventure! I have already been on the ball trying to get the big things behind me! Here is what we know so far, the details will be broken down later. Our date is June 16, 2012.  Our venue is The Elms in Coosada, Al. Our photographer is J. Woodbery Photography. Our catering will be done by Mrs. Teresa Wood and Mrs. Peggy Martin. I will have 8 bridesmaids, so Shane has some work to catch up the groomsmen! My close friend from school, Jere, will be marrying us. We have a lot more to decide on and book, but this is so much fun!!!

Dreams Come True

We went back to relax a little after Chef Mickey's, because we knew it would be a late night watching Wishes. (the firework show in front of the castle). When we returned we made our way through Adventureland and Frontierland, and later had dinner at Pacos Bill's. I heard Pacos Bills was a really good place for a quick service meal, not sure why because we were all a little disappointed.

Me with Walt and Minnie

Capt Jack Sparrow giving Pirate Lessons

Caden was scared to death of Thunder Mtn.
Not sure why since he has ridden roller coaster before at Six Flags.

Mom took our picture here, before I knew what was to come later that night!

These next photos are from the Dreams Come True show in front of the castle, it was so cute and fun!!

Caden became obsessed with his pin trading. His starter set came with 4 and Mom bought him 2 more. They begin at $6.95 and go up. Be careful because his kept falling off. He actually lost one and had to have it replaced. You should make a new hole in the back rather than using the hole that is already there.

His first trade!

This show was cute!

Magic Kingdom 1

I managed to rush everyone enough to make it to Magic Kingdom before opening. They made fun of me all week for keeping us on schedule. I was not one that had an hour by hour itinerary; however, we had meal, show and parade times that we did not want to miss and SOMEONE had to keep  us moving along! Ive heard before that some people will leave from a week at Disney and feel like they got nothing done, I refused to be those people! Anyways, it was so exciting making our way to the entrance! We went through the bag check, which you need to have all of your zippers unzipped before its your turn btw, then through the ticket gate, and waited for the Welcome Show.

Oh yeah!

Mama made so much fun of me for standing like this!
I was going over the map!

Welcome show

All of the characters rode in on a train

There they are! This was the first time we were able to see the characters, how exciting!

There is no way to describe the way you feel when you turn that corner onto Main St. and see this castle!

Our first ride at Disney was the teacups!

Then we walked right into Buzz Lightyear ride

Caden became a HUGE fan of Stitch while we were there. We think it is because Stitch was sad that he didnt have a stitch pin. After that Caden got a Stitch pin and a plush toy.

Astro Orbiter

You wouldnt believe that we walked right on Space Mountian, since it is one of the most popular rides. Caden was scared to ride it, but I knew if I let him get away with not riding then he would never ride anything. After we rode it, I felt kinda bad for making him since he was in a cart by himself. I know I baby him too much sometimes.

We did all of those before 10am, and then we were on the monorail, en route to Chef Mickey's
