So today is my Mama's birthday, and I would really like to not get emotional, so I am going to hope that I have expressed my love for her enough for you all to know how deep it is. I am seriously just like her, just 20 years behind her!:) Please listen to this song, which I firmly believe was written for us!! ha! and you can scroll through the photos below that are from probably the past two years. Judge for yourself how alike we are! She loves introducing herself as my sister, which never causes anyone to doubt her seriousness. She has the most beautiful spirit of anyone I know. I am not as great as she is, nor am I as beautiful as she is. But I try to be. I love you, Mama!
"People always say
I have a laugh like my mother does
Guess that makes sense
She taught me how to smile when things get rough
I've got her spirit, she's always got my back
When I look at her I think I want to be just like that"
I have a laugh like my mother does
Guess that makes sense
She taught me how to smile when things get rough
I've got her spirit, she's always got my back
When I look at her I think I want to be just like that"
"When I love I give it all I've got
Like my mother does
When I'm scared I bow my head and pray
Like my mother does"
Like my mother does
When I'm scared I bow my head and pray
Like my mother does"
(This is my Mama, all of the time!
So happy and fun!!)
"She's a rock, she is grace
She's an angel, she's my heart and soul
She does it all"
She's an angel, she's my heart and soul
She does it all"
"When I love, I give it all I've got
Like my mother does
When I'm scared I bow my head and pray
Like my mother does"
Like my mother does
When I'm scared I bow my head and pray
Like my mother does"
(I love this picture of everyone so happy, right after my engagement!)
"When I'm weak and unpretty
I know I'm beautiful and strong
Because I see myself
Like my mother does"
I know I'm beautiful and strong
Because I see myself
Like my mother does"
So this is her, probably 20 years ago, about my age.
On the left.
What do you think?!

I remember one time I met your mother, down in Fayettville at Brandon Matson's kin folks house. I remember when I asked who her daughter was because she was talking so proudly of you & her saying it was you- I remember thinking I sure hope my mom talks so proud of me like that! She sure loves you. Even though I've only met her once, her story of you made such an impression!
Thank you Ashleigh! That's very sweet! She has always been so proud of me! She is wonderful!
